Metcalfe is Interim Director and Associate Professor at Western Carolina University in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. Previous academic appointments have been as a Dean of Nursing for a private college. She has been an educational grants researcher with colleges and hospitals. Currently, she is serving on the Board of the North Carolina Nursing Association Foundation. Her research agenda is on global leadership development and mentoring transformational nurse leaders with pediatric nursing students. She has been serving as the Program Director of the NN-CAT Program (Nursing Network-Careers and Technology), a national program that provides scholarships, stipends, and personal mentors to underrepresented ethnic minority students. She strives to help students to learn on an international level and gain knowledge of differences and similarities in pediatric nursing.

Kathy Ruble is the Director of the Survivorship Program, Division of Pediatric Oncology at Johns Hopkins University. She has been an oncology nurse for 34 years and has worked exclusively with childhood cancer survivors for the last 20 years. Her research interests include health promotion for survivors with emphasis on sleep and exercise.

Heather MacDonald completed her MScN at the University of Toronto, Canada, and her PhD in Nursing at the University of Manchester, UK. She has been a Professor at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, Canada, since 1990. In addition to having authored a number of publications, she has presented papers at various local, national, and international conferences. In addition to working at the University of New Brunswick, she has a Parish Nursing Practice.

David Clark specializes in treating critically ill newborns and premature babies. His areas of focus include treating infections, perinatal difficulties, congenital anomalies, and consultation of high-risk fetuses.

Hee Yun Lee is a Professor and Director of Research at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, in USA. Her major research areas include cancer health disparity and health literacy among immigrant and refugee populations. She is currently conducting several RCT trials to improve cancer screening behavior and health literacy funded by the National Cancer Institute, Susan Komen for the Cure Foundation, and Department of Defense. She has published more than 47 papers in reputed medical/public health journals and has been serving as an editorial board member and currently serving as an Associate Editor for a high impact journal.

Cancer health disparity and health literacy among immigrant and refugee populations

Kendra Russell serves as Associate Professor and Director of the Macon Graduate Center at Georgia College. She completed her BSN and MSN in Nursing Administration at Georgia College and Doctorate in Nursing at Georgia State University, Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Russell’s clinical background is in neonatal intensive care and pediatrics. Dr. Russell’s research focus is in maternal/infant outcomes and she has published and presented her research at local, state, national, and international conferences. She has eight years of administrative experience serving as a RN-BSN program coordinator, department chair – undergraduate nursing, and assistant director of nursing.

Vedrana Vejzovic has completed her PhD from Malmö University. She is a Registered Nurse (RN), a Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) and a Senior Lecturer (PhD in Care Science) at the Department of Care Science. Her research focuses on child and the child’s perspective of pediatric care.

Chizu Matsumoto worked as a Regular Nurse for 20 years from 1989. In 2007, she completed her Master’s degree in Nursing Science, Graduate School of Medicine, Kochi University. Since 2008 she has been involved in basic nursing education as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Nursing at the university. She became a Lecture in 2010 and works as a Lecture at Sanyo Gakuen University, which is an incumbent post since 2014. In, 2017 she entered Doctoral School of Nursing Studies, Human Environment University.

Christiana Nicolaou joined the Department of Nursing, School of Health Sciences, Cyprus University of Technology in 2007 as Senior Lecturer. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Nursing (since 2011), elected member of the CUT Senate and elected member of the Council of the Department of Nursing (CUT). She worked as Staff Nurse in Pediatric Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Archbishop Makarios Hospital, Nicosia, 1987 - 1994) and in a Gynecological and Midwifery Clinic, Nicosia (1986-1987).

Darcy Hostetter-Lewis received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Chico in 2001. She obtained employment as a newly graduated nurse in the specialty of obstetrical care and she remained working in labor and delivery for 9 years. Upon receiving her Master of Science in Nursing degree as a perinatal educator from Saint Louis University in 2009, she found a passion for diabetes education and she began working in an outpatient program which enabled her to provide diabetes care and prenatal education as well as breastfeeding education and support for underserved pregnant and post partum women. She was recruited by a national education center and has travelled extensively throughout the United States, providing education to health care providers as to the provision of evidence based care for women with gestational diabetes. In 2011 she was drafted to the position of Manager of Education and Training at the hospital where she was employed, and she remained at that position for two years, developing a wide range of evidence based education and training for all hospital employees. She began teaching in 2006, and in addition to maintaining her personal nursing practice she has taught continuously for California State University, Chico for the past 10 years. Darcy left her management position in 2013 and returned to the clinical setting in order to pursue her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree through the University of Hawaii at Manoa, She successfully completed her doctorate in 2015, following ground breaking on her doctorate project, the Kristina Chesterman Memorial Clinic (KCMC) in Ozu Abam, Nigeria. Today Darcy resides in Northern California where she continues teach as well as to work in the acute care setting, both as a house supervior and as a nurse in the emergency department.
