Biography
Robert ŚLUSARZ, RN, MA, PH.D., CNS, graduated from Medical High School, Toruń and completed Nursing Studies of the Medical University, Wrocław. In 2004 he received his Ph.D. degree and in 2006 became a specialist in neurological nursing. Head of the Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing Department CM NCU, Toruń and manager of Institute of Health Sciences WSHE, Włocławek. Member of expert groups at Ministry of Health (2007), Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (2007) and Main Chamber of Nurses and Midwives. Vice-president of national examination in neurological nursing, one of the founders and vice-president of the nursing section at the Polish Society of Neurosurgeons and member of the Polish Association of Neurological Nurses Board (PTPN) and European Association of Neuroscience Nurses (EANN) and World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN). Reviewer and member of the following journals: Pielęgniarstwo Polskie, MEDI Forum Opieki Długoterminowej and Journal of Nursing Education and Practice.
Research Interest
Robert Ślusarz research interests are clinical assessment of patients with neurological disorders, post-graduate nursing training in neurosciences, and neuroprotection, hemostasis and angiogenesis in nervous system disorders. Author and co-author of articles, books and other publications on neurological and neurosurgical nursing and leader of statutory research projects.
